The tour takes you to Putrajaya, a landmark complex stretching over 11,000 acres, located 25 km south of Kuala Lumpur in the middle of the lavish Multimedia Super Corridor and boasting the latest communication and transportation facilities and infrastructure. Named after the first Malaysian Prime Minister, Tuanku Abdul Rahman Putra, Putrajaya is the official seat of the Malaysian government and is one of the major tourist attractions in Malaysia.
Also known as the Garden City, Putrajaya is devoted to greenery and water bodies with 13 different gardens within the complex and a huge man-made lake in the town centre. Expect to visit breathtaking landmarks including the Millennium Monument, the Seri Wawasan Bridge, Putra Mosque and the Putrajaya Landmark. At midday, enjoy a sumptuous lunch of local cuisine served at a local restaurant.
After lunch, you head back to the city to get an insight into the old and new side of Kuala Lumpur, starting from where the city began, at the confluence of two rivers, on to the King's Palace, both the old and the new palace compounds, the National Monument, Independence Square, the Moorish-style railway station and much more.
While observing the contrast between the historical Moorish architecture and modern skyscrapers, you will not fail to notice the abundant greenery in the city, particularly at the Lake Gardens. A visit to a local handicraft centre and a photo stop at the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers are also included. Experience the charm and beauty of this wonderful city firsthand and discover what makes people who visit it want to come back again and again. For a complete overview of the city, this tour offers it all.
