What you'll be doing
Travel back into the past 600 years as you visit Malacca city. The walking tour takes you to the various historical sites including the ancient Portuguese fortress, A Famosa, once known as Porta De Santiago, St Paul's Hill, where you can walk around the ruins of St Paul's Church while enjoying a panoramic view of the city and the Straits of Malacca, the historical Dutch graveyard, and the Dutch Square, famous for the bright red historical buildings, the Stadhuys buildings, that, today, house museums and state government offices.
At midday, you enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Finally, take a stroll along Jonker Street, a historical set of streets lined with shops selling a range of goods, from cultural clothing, antiques, accessories, household goods and even fresh produce. Look out for shops selling famous Malaysian snacks and Baba Nyonya cuisine as you reach the end of the street on the bank of the Malacca River. For a day full of history, culture and Malaysian heritage, this tour offers it all!
Complimentary pick up & drop off is provided from anywhere within the Kuala Lumpur city & Petaling Jaya areas, as well as from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 1 & KLIA 2). There may be extra charges for locations outside of these areas.
