This wonderful day trip take place in Garama Village; located about 130km from Kota Kinabalu. It's about 2 hour ride from Kota Kinabalu under normal wheatear condition.

The highlight of this tour is ~ of course, seeing the remarkable Proboscis Monkey in the wild! Seeing the bizarre monkey with their natural behaviour in the mangroves is truly a wonderful experience.

Beside having the opportunity to see the Proboscis Monkey, one may also get the chance to see variety of birds, the common Macaque gathering in large numbers, sighting of the rare Silver Langour, large group of water buffalo and if you're lucky enough, you may see a crocodile in the river bank.

After a delightful Malaysian dinner, (Buffet Style) our guide will show you a breathtaking view of Fireflies lighten up the mangrove tree near the Garama Base Camp. A gift from nature before you leave the wonderful place.

Daily Departure

Day Trip	Dinner
1245 hrs	Pick from Hotel (Kota Kinabalu Town)
1300hrs	Depart to the Southwestern part of Sabah. Journey takes roughly 1hr 45mins.
1500 hrs	Upon arrival, coffee & tea will be served with some local cake made by the local people.
1600 hrs	onboard comfortable fiberglass boat – Cruise down for almost 2 hrs in search for wildlife (Proboscis Monkey). Experience by walked through the longest boardwalk in the wetland area to return to the Base Camp.
1800 hrs	enjoy sumptuous Malaysian dinner served in glimmering lanterns hug around the lodging.
1900 hrs	Catch the glimpse of fireflies slowly lighting up and decorating the mangrove trees. Do not forget to visit at our Monkey Souvenir shop which offer you good price; handicrafts and gifts for you to take home. Listen to the crickets singing while you walk back to the coach.
2100 hrs	Estimated arrival to Kota Kinabalu. END OF TOUR.

Excludes - Personal Expenditure & others which are not mentioned in itinerary.

What to Bring: Insect repellent, raincoat, cap or hat, binocular, sun glasses, torchlight, and sunscreen. Use good walking shoes and comfortable cotton T-shirt or long sleeve shirt and long or short pant. Not to forget to bring your camera and don't forget to bring sense of adventure / fun / humor / enthusiasm and a flexible attitude!

Booking - A minimum booking period of 2 days in advance is required.

What to Wear - Wear comfortable, loose-fitting long trousers or shorts, tights or a tracksuit.

All participants will be required to sign a Liability Release before departure.
